I was watching You Tube today and came across the Casting Crowns singing “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,” which is a hauntingly powerful tune about the ultimate triumph of God’s peace and love over humanity’s anxieties and despair. That song is what Christmas is all about–Macy’s and WalMart don’t come close. Anyway, one of the comments under the video said, “I wish I believed in god” (little “g”). I replied to the writer of the comment with “I hope God grants your wish.” Then I went into the sanctuary and asked God to answer their “prayer.” I am so glad that Jesus called me out of darkness into His marvelous light.
