Prayer Ministry

In order for the vision of Redemption Fellowship to grow, it must be spirit-led.  This only comes through united corporate prayer.  The word of God instructs us in Luke 18:1,”… that men ought always pray and not faint”.

  • Prayer Partners

The vision of the prayer team is to have available prayer times for all of our ministries and our church family.  As we continue to seek God as a family it is our prayer that He will provide us with all the resources we need to be effective in the kingdom of God.  We as a prayer team will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the Word, as stated in Acts 6:4.

The Prayer Ministry Team consists of a group of people who have received the healing presence of Christ in their lives and have a calling, gifting and the training necessary to minister the healing presence of Christ to others.  Prayer Ministers pray regarding issues involving spiritual, emotional and physical needs utilizing inner healing prayer (for personal sin or emotional issues), prayer for physical healing (for physical illness) and deliverance prayer (for issues related to demonic oppression or spiritual warfare).  The Prayer Ministry Team also provides prayer for the cleansing and blessing of homes.

While we are happy to provide prayer ministry in conjunction with counseling you may be receiving, Prayer Ministers are not counselors and so not offer counseling.  If you are in need of counseling, the Congregational Care Department can provide you with referrals to counselors in the area who are fully qualified to address your particular needs.

  • Intercession Team

The Intercession Team is composed of a group of people from our church who have a strong passion and gifting for prayer and intercession.  Intercessors pray for a wide variety of needs related to our church.  Specific areas include:  congregational prayer requests, prayer for and during church services; church leaders; worship; church ministries and missions; our city, state, nation and world; church retreats; and our youth.  In addition to praying, the Intercession Team also offers a class on prayer called “Teach Us To Pray” that is open not only to the Intercession Team members but to anyone interested in joining the Intercession Team or simply wanting to become better equipped to pray.
