Corporate Prayer – January 23rd

Posted on Nov 23 , 2017 in Announcements & Ministry Updates

Attention Redemption Fellowship Family:

Redemption Fellowship’s Corporate Prayer takes place each Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Intercessory Prayer will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the church from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Everyone is asked to please come and join us in corporate prayer.  An agenda will be given so that we can pray on one accord.   In order for the vision of Redemption Fellowship to grow, it must be spirit-led.  This is achieved through united corporate prayer.

The word of God instructs us in Luke 18:1, “… that men ought always pray and not faint”.  Also, the Bible states in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God; And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Food Bank Collection for January 2018

Posted on Nov 23 , 2017 in Announcements & Ministry Updates

ATTN:  Redemption Fellowship Family

Our effort to help feed the hungry is on-going. The need is definitely there as one in five people in the state of Georgia struggles with hunger – many of them are children.

The Fayette Samaritans is a Christian ministry serving those in need by providing food, clothing, and financial assistance. Please continue to help in our effort to collect donations for the Samaritans Food Bank to feed the hungry by placing one or more non perishable items in the donation box each week.  All donations are gathered on the fourth Sunday of each month and are delivered soon afterwards to the Samaritans.

Collection of the donations for the month of January 2018 will take place the week of Sunday, January 28th.  If you and your family are able, please bring a donation for the Food Bank with you to service this Sunday.

While all items are appreciated, the Samaritans have asked if we could help especially with the staple items listed below:

Canned tuna
Peanut Butter
Rice
Dried Beans
Cornbread Mix
Canned fruit/vegetables
Applesauce
Pasta sauce
Toiletries
Feminine Products

They also made an appeal for clothing donations.  At this time there is a special need for boys clothing:  shirts, underwear, socks, etc (all sizes).  Many thanks for all of the donations that have been made thus far.  All items donated are delivered and recorded as coming from Redemption Fellowship Church.

If you have any questions about the Food Bank donations, please contact Sister Chantal Bartley or Sister Dolores Bennett.

Thank you and may God richly bless you.

Audio: Because He Lives

Posted on Apr 22 , 2014 in Announcements

Our very own Minister of Music, James Jones, performed a beautiful rendition of “Because He Lives” this past Sunday. Please take a listen and enjoy his praise.

Because He Lives Lyrics

(Verse 1)
God sent his son
They called him Jesus
He came to love
Heal and forgive
He lived and died
To buy my pardon
An empty grave
Is there to prove
My Savior lives

(Chorus)
Because he lives
I can face tomorrow
Because he lives
All fear is gone
Because I know
He holds the future
And life is worth the living
Just because he lives

(Verse 2)
How sweet to hold
A newborn baby
And feel the pride
And joy he gives
But greater still
The calm assurance
This child can face
Uncertain days
Just Because he lives

(Chorus)

(Verse 3)
And then one day
I’ll cross the river
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain
And then as death
Gives way to victory
I’ll see the lights
Of glory and
I’ll know he lives

(Chorus 2xs)

Fayette Samaritans Partnership

Posted on Sep 25 , 2013 in Announcements & Ministry Updates

Attention: Redemption Fellowship Church Members and Family

As many of you know, in the past we have worked to maintain a food closet here at the church. Over the last few years it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a high level of non-perishable goods.  So for that reason we have decided to partner with the Fayette Samaritans. The Fayette Samaritans is a nonprofit organization supported by many of the churches and community organizations in the Fayetteville area.  They provide food, clothes, financial assistance, and access to community resources.

With that being said, September and October are our months to shine.  For the rest of September and all of October we will be collecting food, clothes (all kinds), and money.  Redemption, it is our ministry to help the less fortunate and we never know when we may be one of those in need of help.  We are blessed to be a blessing to others, so I am asking that we all do our part.  Let’s bombard them with so much stuff they won’t have room to store it all.

They are always in need of volunteers to help with sorting items and stocking shelves, so if you have some spare time please sign up. It is a very rewarding experience.  There but for the grace of God go I, something I try to live by and have tried to instill in my children.  For more information on the Fayette Samaritans and how you can help please pick up a brochure in the Foyer.

Recap From Parents Meeting

Recap From Parents Meeting for Children Youths and Young Adults

I want to thank everyone who was able to attend the Parent Ministry meeting on Sunday.  This meeting was for the parent of every Student and Young Adult connected to our Ministry from Children to Young Adults.

1. Ultimate Purpose and Goal of All Ministries involving Children to Young Adults
a. Build a solid Christian foundation for our Children that includes CHRIST CENTERED IDENTITY RELATIONSHIPS and BELIEFS
b. To Create an environment that fosters an opportunity to study God’s word on a daily basis
1. Through on campus teachings, (weekly sermon and discussions)
2. Dinner and Conversation/ bible studies
3. Outings and Fellowship opportunities that strengthen relationships amongst peers
4. Opportunities to serve, with older groups serving younger groups
5. At home studying and research opportunities
6. Fearlessly create opportunities or assist in helping students seize opportunities, to boldly and courageously share their faith.

2. Parental Expectations
a. Ensure Students are doing the Work
1. Sitting with them in an at home bible study on their assignments
2. Spending 15 minutes, minimum, weekly (realistically this should be more but we gotta start somewhere)  discussing with  students the scriptures and discussion or sermon whether in the main sanctuary, class in the back, dinner and conversation, VBS, or even your own weekly or daily devotion
3. Helping them to realize that God must be their 1st pursuit whether their desires are academic, social, sports, or life long dreams
(God will grant them the desires of their hearts as they delight in His will)
4. Be consistent and lead by example (especially when it comes to sacrificing life routines and time)

3.  To help our teachers make a greater impact and be more consistent, in the Fall, we will begin a 3 to 4 week rotation. This will enable Teachers to follow-up with lessons with the pre-K through preteen groups as well as communicate better with each other.  We will also partner with the sound ministry to ensure CDs are copied for the Sundays missed during this new rotation cycle.  Simplified, the teachers will average 1 month on – 2 months off.

4. I will  email, weekly, the lessons for teens, so you may continue to engage them at home.

I want to remind everyone, our guidance and biblical teaching for the generations after us does not end at 18 years old. Discipleship is a life long process that carries from one generation to the next and one peer group to the next. We teach the bible. Even with our Children’s curriculum, the goal is never to compromise the truth of God’s Word and His expectation for us. We must help our young people  understand how to …Work out their own salvation…and know what it means to please God and to courageously, fearlessly share their Faith.

Do this and we will turn the world upside down.

For the Glory of God,
Raymonde Neely
Redemption Fellowship Church Youth and Young Adult Director
