Prayer Vigil for March

Posted on Jan 30 , 2012 in Announcements

Attention Redemption Fellowship:

The Prayer Vigil for the month of March is scheduled for Friday, March 2nd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church. Everyone is asked to please come and bring your prayer requests before the Lord.

In order for the vision of Redemption Fellowship to grow, it must be spirit-led.  This is achieved through united corporate prayer.

The word of God instructs us in Luke 18:1,”… that men ought always pray and not faint”.

Attention Ladies of Redemption Fellowship:

We now have a new Women’s Ministry blog which will serve as our main source of communication. The blog can be accessed at http://rfwomensministry.blogspot.com/.

As the blog builds, it will contain inspiring articles, meeting notices, committee updates, information on upcoming events, and women’s bible study outlines.  The Women’s Ministry Council Members (Alma Stone, Denise Hedgeman, and Sheila Toppin) administer and monitor the blog; however, everyone is encouraged to post comments and send prayer requests/updates.

May we edify one another in the Lord!

The Women’s Ministry Still Needs New Members

The Women’s Ministry Still Needs New Members

The Women’s Ministry of RFC held the 2011 Committee Meeting on Sunday, August 7th at the church.  This meeting was held to find new board members as well as committee members to join the ministry to help keep it active.  The two year term of the current board members has expired, and replacements are needed.

We had a number of women to sign up.  However, we are still looking for members who are willing to share their time, thoughts, and innovative ideas with this ministry as the church strives to help women grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  If you are interested in becoming a part of this very important ministry but were unable to attend the meeting, please contact the church office or you may contact Angela Savage or Hester Bell.

The Women’s Ministry is responsible for planning fellowships and special events such as retreats, the Mother’s Day Tea, and the Christmas Brunch, as well as maintaining the ministry newsletter.  Our focus is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through discipleship, prayer, Christian education, outreach and fellowship.

For more information on the ministry, please visit our page here.

Approved  Workmen  Are  Not  Ashamed

The founders of AWANA derived the name from the first letters of Approved workmen are not ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible – “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

We need help bringing AWANA to our church.

Leading Kids Worldwide to Know, Love and Serve Christ

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community.

Awana is the only organization with fully integrated evangelism and discipleship programs for ages 2 to 18 that actively involve parents, church leaders and mentors. Each week, more than a million children and youth, 250,000 volunteers and 300-plus field staff take part in Awana in over 18,000 churches in the U.S. and internationally.

It began as a children’s program at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago in 1941. Lance Latham, North Side’s senior pastor, collaborated with the church’s youth director, Art Rorheim, to develop weekly clubs that would appeal to churched and unchurched kids, lead them to trust Christ for salvation and grow them in enduring faith and service to God.
