In preparation for summer activities, including VBS 2012 and the Deliverance Fest, Child Safety Training Classes will be offered on the following dates:

• Saturday, May 19         9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Sunday, May 20           1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday, June 5          7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

If you work with children or youth in any capacity, it is necessary you take this class.  Even if you took this class when it was first offered, five years ago, you are being asked to take it again as a refresher course.

Attention Redemption Fellowship Family:

The next session of the Dinner and a Movie event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the church.  Please plan to join us for a delicious meal and a wonderful presentation.  Also, if you can come out and help set up for the event, please contact Sister Shibana Cutter.

Attention:  Members of Redemption Fellowship Church

The first practice meeting for the month of May for the Redemption Youth Dance Team will be held Sunday, May 20th, 2012 immediately following worship service in the Choir Room.  The Dance Team is open to all female members between the ages of 7 and 18.

Practice for the Dance Team will be held at 1 p.m. on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month at the church.  Practices for the month of June will take place on Sunday, June 10th and Sunday, June 17th.

Attention All Parents:

The second rehearsal for the month of May for the Angels Choir will be held on Saturday, May 26th, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.  The Angels Choir is open to all members between the ages of 5 and 11.  The Angels Choir will be singing the 4th Sunday in May and every fourth Sunday this year.

Rehearsals for the Angels Choir are held twice per month.  Rehearsal dates for the month of June are Saturday, June 9th and Saturday, June 23rd.  A steady rehearsal schedule allows all parents who desire to have their youth participate to adjust schedules around set dates and times.  Through music, we are equipping our young people with Biblical Christian Faith.  Parents please consider bringing your young person out to the rehearsals both Saturdays at 10 am.

Attention Redemption Fellowship:

Prayer Vigil for the month of June is scheduled for Friday, June 1st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church. Everyone is asked to please come and bring your prayer requests before the Lord. 

In order for the vision of Redemption Fellowship to grow, it must be spirit-led.  This is achieved through united corporate prayer.

The word of God instructs us in Luke 18:1,”… that men ought always pray and not faint”.

Mark Your Calendars for The “Delivered!” Music Festival, which will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fayette County Government Complex - in the Square.  The Complex is located at 140 Stonewall Avenue in Fayetteville, GA.

This 5 hour event is a FREE Outdoor Music Concert.  The festival will provide and feature Great Fellowship, Ministry and Non-Profit Networking,  Food and Retail Vendors, Family Fun activities, and Guest speakers.  During the event, we will be collecting New Shoes for Samaritan’s Feet and food for Bridging the Gap Food Bank.  Our Special Guest Artist is John Waller!

We need your Prayers your Presence and your Support.  Please plan to bring the entire family out to this explosive event!!!!!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2012 is cleared for takeoff at Redemption Fellowship Church !!!  The theme this year is “Amazing Wonders Aviation” VBS – Encountering God’s Awesome Power and will take place June 11th through June 15th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Redemption Fellowship.  During this week-long adventure, we will explore Psalm 147:5, which states “Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit“.  Plan to join us and watch amazing things happen as we encounter God like never before.

VBS offers a Christ-centered program with a fun integrated theme, which teaches life application lessons for children of all ages.  Classes will be offered for teens, collegiate age, and adults as well.  So come on out and remember to invite your friends and family.

Also, volunteers are needed to make this year’s VBS a success.  Please see Raymonde or Leslie Neely if you would like to help with this event.

May’s Outreach

The Women’s Ministry In-Reach Committee invites you to support Catherine’s House Inc., a women’s shelter.  Catherine’s House is supported by Catherine’s Thrift Store, which is located at 6509 Hwy 85 in Riverdale, GA.  Catherine’s is run by Rev Catherine Grimes, a faithful woman of God who operated the store completely by faith as she depends on God to supply her daily needs.

Rev Grimes has been given a vision to develop a community outreach center in the city of Riverdale that will be available to all men, women, and children.  Her goal is to empower men and women within the community, through various means, including computer classes, AA meetings, etc as well as with a resource and activity center.  Rev Grimes now feeds and clothes people in the community out of her own pocket; however, her funds are limited.  I am asking everyone to do one of three things to assist her ministry.

1.  Stop by the thrift store and shop around.  It is located at 6509 Highway 85 in Riverdale, GA.

2.  Purchase one of Rev Grimes canvass bags.  She states that these bags are Holy Ghost inspired – an idea given to her by God to help support the program.  You may purchase a small bag for $8 or a large bag for $10.  Contact Sister Regina Harris if you would like to purchase one or drop by the store.  These bags can be given as gifts to friends, coworkers, and family members to celebrate a special occasion or simply just to inspire.

3. Finally, if you know any laborers willing to volunteer their time to help complete the repairs on the house for the center, please contact Sister Regina Harris or stop by the store to inform Rev Grimes.

Attention Redemption Fellowship Church Family

The Young Adult Breakfast and Bible Study has begun and will meet each week at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday Morning at the church.  The current study is from the Tom Ellsworth’s book, Inverted.   All Young Adults, collegiate age and older, are encouraged, invited, and welcomed to be a part of this discussion.
