What We Believe the Bible Affirms:

  1. That the world, the universe and man were spoken into existence, from nothing, by God.  (Genesis 1)
  2. That man and God once had a wonderful relationship that was damaged by the sin of our earthly father Adam.  (Genesis 1)
  3. That Adam’s sin nature was passed down to all generation, skipping none, and that, because of sin, we are all held guilty before the perfect requirement of God.  (Romans 5)
  4. That the penalty for this sin is death, as decreed by God, and that death has also passed down to all mankind.  (Romans 6:23)
  5. That, God, before the foundation of the world, has provided a plan to justify and reconcile sinful man to Himself.  (Romans 8:29)
  6. That the judicial requirement for this justification before God is a perfect sacrifice that no man, being sinful by nature, can fulfill.  (Romans 5:16-17)
  7. That Jesus, being God, the Son of God, and part of the triune Godhead, became a man to fulfill the requirement of God the Father for a perfect sacrifice. (Romans 5)
  8. That, after obediently fulfilling that requirement by shedding His blood by death o a cross, He spent three (3) days in a grave and then conquered sin and death by being bodily resurrected by His Father in heaven where He now sits at God’s right hand interceding for us.  (Hebrews 10:12, Romans 8:34)
  9. That since the requirement has been paid, we need now only acknowledge and agree that Jesus Christ is the only way to be reconciled to the Father and that He has lovingly left for us promises, blessings, and instructions for living in His word called the Bible.  (John 6:44, John 14:6)
