Miss ReneeRenee Higgins loves the Lord Jesus and His church.  Renee was born in Saint Louis, MO and became a Christian at the Christ Zion Water Tower Baptist Church where she was a member of the Youth and Young Adult Choir and the Adult Choir.  The Lord eventually led her to the Prayer Garden Deliverance Center COGIC in Saint Louis where she served as the Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor.  While in this position, she learned the administrative skills that it takes to manage the pastor’s busy schedule and ensure that he was in the right place at the right time.

It was at the Prayer Garden that Renee met and eventually married Mike Higgins who at that time was an aspiring minister of the gospel.  After marriage, Renee accompanied her husband, who was a military officer, on many tours of duty in the Continental United States and abroad to Europe.  Renee has effectively used her gifts as a teacher to host home bible studies in each military location that she has been placed.  She is extremely hospitable and loves to cook.

Renee also served the families of soldiers through working with Protestant Women of the Chapel as an officer, teacher, and prayer leader.  Her volunteer duties included teaching English as a second language and serving as a Parent Teacher Organization President while stationed in Friedberg, West Germany.  She has received many volunteer honors from Community leaders and Army General Officers.  She is a recipient of the Honorable Order of Molly Pitcher, a rare honor given to the women who volunteer many hours of their time to serve the families of field artillery soldiers.  In January 2006, Renee received the Dr. Mary E. Walker Medal for Outstanding Volunteer Service from the Commanding General of US Army Forces Command.

The Lord has also given Renee many gifts in the area of worship.  She is an accomplished worship leader, singer and an outstanding choir director.  She is also a woman of prayer and a trained Precept Ministries Bible Study teacher.  Renee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Harris Teacher’s College in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Renee accompanied Pastor Mike to Redemption Fellowship on 1 September 2000 and has since served as his personal secretary.  Renee is the mother of Mary Yvonne and Michelle Joanna, and a friend to all who know her.  Renee has been married to Mike for 30 years.
